We received an audio message from our country director concerning the voting process in Sudan over the weekend. Unfortunately, the current website can’t host his message, so I am transcribing it below. It appears that all is moving along peacefully.

“Voting in progress. The elections are starting today and people are turning in big numbers and it is very peaceful. We thank God for answering the prayers.”

Answering the prayers indeed. If you prayed with us over the last month, please know that the reports from Sudan are that the process has moved along peacefully. It isn’t a perfect situation, but we must rejoice because it has been a peaceful process.

The voting ends tomorrow, but please don’t stop praying. Between now and the referendum in January, there is still a lot to pray for.
