To the many Water Is Basic supporters around the world,
This year we have reached another milestone and we did it together. Four years ago when the dream for fresh water was birthed within the borders and heart of Sudan, it was considered impossible. Most organizations had given up on the cost and frustration that goes with nation building in such a complicated land.
Nevertheless, the Sudanese staff of Water Is Basic did not give up. We are now working on bore holes #235 and #236 and so much more. Bore holes are not the whole story. Two years of successfully providing fresh clean water has caught the attention of NGO’s and private businesses and they are now following our lead of investing in locals and through locals. Success breeds success. They are asking us to galvanize and lead as they seek to impact a nation…a new nation!
This next year, perhaps the most important in Sudanese history, we continue to dream. We are seeking ways to grow communities as they find new life at the completion of every new well. We are praying for a third rig and crew to move into Darfur. This year-end we ask you to give generously to the life giving work of Water Is Basic and the ongoing work of building Sudan.
We remain the fastest, cheapest, freshest water-drilling project in Sudan. Water continues to be an urgent need and fresh water the is a catalyst for life and community transformation.
