Yes, the first rig is in place in Yei, Sudan! Only God could make things work out as well as he has. Just a short walk from where the rig was unloaded there “happened” to be a man who has drilled more than 2,000 wells in Sudan….many with the very same rig we delivered!
As they say all over Africa, “God is good!” “All the time!”…”All the time!” “God is good” …”And that is his nature!”
We now have one entire drilling team hired and all parties will meet in Yei this March 3rd-5th to finalize the details of how the process will continue to move forward- from transferring money to feeding the drill team. It takes time to organize and empower local leadership, but we remain convinced (both from experience and mandate) that an empowered local leadership gets more done long term despite any political situation.

By the end of this spring we plan to have all three rigs operating and drilling one well every day at a variable cost of just $1,000. All we lack are some folks who will be willing to underwrite the costs of the drilling team for each rig. Those costs will be known after our March meeting.
