Every year, Irving Bible Church raises funds through its Not Just Ourselves (NJO) efforts which it distributes to initiatives outside the walls of IBC that will change lives for decades.
In the past, funds from NJO have:
- Assisted Hurricane victims in Honduras
- Provided relief to Afghan war victims
- Started an inner city Dallas ministry
- Bought shelters for an entire village of earthquake victims in India
- Helped complete a leadership training facility in Rwanda
This year, IBC has put Water is Basic (WIB) at the center of their NJO efforts and are seeking to raise funds for purchasing the first WIB rig.
Steve Roese, IBC Executive Pastor, said, “We could not think of a greater need where every dollar can do so much. Earlier this year, I traveled again to Sudan for a conference of many Sudanese leaders. They said strongly that their number one health need was clean water, and that if they were provided the drilling equipment, they could operate it and provide relief for tens of thousands of people.”
